Comments

Media
If you upload images or educational verification documents to the Bayt Al-Maearif website (such as profile pictures, homework submissions, or registration requirements), you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from publicly available images on the site. Secure registration documents are restricted and hidden from public view.

Who we share your data with
If you request an account password reset, your IP address will be included in the automated reset email. Student registration data, National IDs, and contact numbers are strictly used internally by Bayt Al-Maearif for course compliance and enrollment verification. They are never shared with external third parties without authorized student consent.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment or assignment question, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up student communications automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on the Bayt Al-Maearif educational platform, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile (including National IDs, certificates, and phone numbers). All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their registered system username). Website administrators can also see, audit, and edit that technical information to facilitate enrollment.
What rights you have over your data
If you have a student or instructor account on this site, or have left active comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any demographic data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any historical enrollment records, grades, or administrative data Bayt Al-Maearif is legally obliged to keep for educational tracking, administrative verification, or mandatory security purposes.

Visitor, student, and instructor comments may be checked through an automated, cloud-based spam detection service to preserve the security, safety, and integrity of the Bayt Al-Maearif digital classroom environment.
